Cochrane Taiwan is supported by the "Establishing Health and Welfare Biotechnology Electronic Database Sharing Platform for Promoting Evidence-Based Medicine and Knowledge Translation" project of Ministry of Health and Welfare (MOHW) in Taiwan.

We continued using Cochrane Library, an international well-known evidence-based electronic database, as our intervention tool to promote evidence-based medicine (EBM) in MOHW, its affiliated agencies and ministerial hospitals. Multiple promotional interventions and competitions were carried out including educational activities, literature searching and EBM competition, innovative evidence-based healthcare poster designs as well as translating representative abstracts of Cochrane reviews. The strategies are to integrate EBM knowledge and practice in continuing education for all policy makers and healthcare professionals, and to enhance EBM culture nationwide. In addition, we assisted MOHW agencies host a group purchasing conference and build an article research service to emerging health-realted issues in response to the need of MOHW policy.
